Adopting: Learn How to Adopt and Meet our Dogs

Our Adoption Process

At AAA Dog Rescue, we believe adoption is the beginning of a lifelong friendship. Our goal is to make the process as smooth and supportive as possible. Our adoption fees range from $300 to $400 depending on the age of the dog. We offer discounts for seniors, veterans, and people who participate in our foster progr
Step 1: See our Available Pets and Reach Out
Step 2: Meet and Greet
Step 3: Finalize the Adoption
Step 4: Stay Connected

Visit our Petfinder page. If you see a dog you’re interested in, give us a call or text at (661) 840-7052, or fill out an adoption application. Once we receive your application, a member of our team will reach out to you.

We’ll schedule a meet and greet so you can spend time with your prospective new family member. If you already have pets, we’ll help with introductions. This part can take some time—plan for at least an hour. In some cases, we may suggest multiple visits to make sure it’s the right fit for everyone.

We love hearing how our dogs are doing in their forever homes! Please don’t hesitate to reach out and keep us updated—we’re here as a resource and a partner in your journey.

When you're ready, we'll finalize the adoption with an adoption contract, your dog's vaccination and spay/neuter certificates, an adoption handbook with tips and resources, and a starter supply of your dog's current food.

Note: If you’d like to switch foods, we recommend starting with a 3/4 old food + 1/4 new food mix, then moving to half and half, then 1/4 old + 3/4 new, until the transition is complete.

Buckingham: A gentle giant

Say hello to Buckingham, a gentle giant in the making. At six months old, this male German Shepherd already has the kind of big, sturdy paws that say he’s going to grow into a strong, impressive dog.

Buckingham is thoughtful, steady, and affectionate once he gets to know you. Rescued with his mom, sister, and brother, he’s handled his journey with quiet strength. He’ll be neutered and current on vaccinations before going home, but he’s more than ready to start bonding with his forever family now. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a noble presence and a loving soul, Buckingham could be your perfect match.

Ever: Wise beyond her years

Meet Ever, a stunning six-month-old female German Shepherd puppy with a heart full of love and eyes full of wisdom beyond her years. This beautiful girl was found abandoned alongside her mom and two brothers, but her spirit remains unbroken. Ever is incredibly observant—she watches everything around her with curiosity and intelligence, picking up on cues quickly and eager to learn.

She’ll be spayed and up-to-date on all vaccinations before adoption, but she’s ready to meet her forever family now. Whether you’re looking for a loyal companion, a quick learner, or a pup with potential to be your best adventure buddy, Ever is the one. Come meet her and see the spark that makes her so special.

Spartan: Fun and fearless

Say hello to Spartan, a bold and bright six-month-old German Shepherd puppy who lives up to his strong name. Rescued alongside his mom, sister (Ever), and brother (Buckingham), Spartan has shown a fearless and fun-loving personality from the start.

He’s playful, curious, and always ready to explore—whether it’s learning a new trick or chasing a toy across the yard. Spartan is also incredibly smart and eager to please, making him a great candidate for continued training and adventure. He will be neutered and fully vaccinated before adoption, but he’s ready to meet his forever family today. If you’re looking for an energetic, affectionate pup with a zest for life, Spartan is your guy.

Coco: A camera-ready comedian

Want a dog who’s equal parts loyal, playful, and photogenic? Look no further - Coco is ready for adoption!

We think this handsome boy might be a Husky/Lab mix, but we know for sure he’s all heart. Coco has come a long way from his rough beginnings and now spends his days playing, learning, and hamming it up for the camera.

Coco is incredibly smart, picks up on routines quickly, and is always looking to please. He loves toys, exploring the yard, and being where the action is. Coco would do best with an active family that can keep up with his energy and preferably another dog buddy to play with!

Coco is vaccinated, waiting to be neutered and ready to start his forever adventure. Think Coco might be your perfect match? Come meet him and see if you’re the one he’s been waiting to take home.
